Councils and Committees

CFA Institute Centre for Financial Market Integrity

The Centre speaks out to the global investment community to promote fair and open markets, advocate for the rights of investors, and provide best practice guidance to investment professionals. Through codes and standards, topical research, and discussions with regulators, societies, and the media, the Centre focuses closely on the growing financial crisis and particularly on regulatory reform, corporate governance issues, and transparency in financial reporting.

CFA Institute Governance

The business and corporate powers of CFA Institute are exercised by, or under the authority of, the CFA Institute Board of Governors. The Board of Governors allows certain functions, with Board oversight, to be performed by the officers of CFA Institute or committees formed by the Board. The Board is the highest governing authority of CFA Institute.

CFA Program

There are numerous opportunities available for volunteer involvement in the CFA Program. The activities cover the spectrum from examination to curriculum development. Opportunities may be limited in a particular area at any given time, but these are all ongoing activities.

CIPM Program

CIPM certificate holders are encouraged to participate in the CIPM program as volunteers or consultants in one of three significant areas: reviewing new additions to the curriculum, writing questions for the exams, and participating in the standard-setting process.

Educational Events and Programs

Educational events and programs help you stay current with the ever-changing global investment management profession. Join a committee or speak at a conference.

Publications

The editorial board and advisory council of the Financial Analysts Journal serve as advisers to the editor and CFA Institute on the direction of the FAJ, and assist with the solicitation of research articles and perspectives. The CFA Digest distills selected current industry research into short, easy-to-read summaries which are written by volunteers.
